KAYLEE'S COURSE RACE FOR PROGERIA SATURDAY!

The Progeria Research Foundation is hosting the 5th Annual Kaylee’s Course 5K. Come out and help raise money to fight Progeria. This event is a 5K run or 2 mile walk, with a silent auction. It will be held October 9 at Monclova Primary School on Monclova Road. Registration starts at 9am and the race begins at 10. Participation fee is $15 (kids 10 and under free, fee waved for any participant who raises $100 or more). To get more info and to download an application, click the headline above. Progeria is an accelerated aging disease that causes children to age 8-10 times faster than normal. Children with Progeria suffer from a lot of the same symptoms that a senior citizen would. Currently, there is no cure for Progeria. However, with the research being done and the new drug trial, there is hope. Children afflicted with this disease usually die in their early teens of a heart attack or stroke.

PLEASE come if you can make it!
