Groupon: $25 for Four Tickets to the University of Toledo's Visual and Performing Arts 2010-11 Season, **Imprisonment**, Beginning October 15 (Up to $52 Value)

Although the Ancient Greeks invented television, they quickly returned to live performances because there was nothing on but Xena reruns. Partake in an ancient theatrical tradition with today's Groupon: for $25, you get four tickets to the University of Toledo's Visual and Performing Arts 2010-11 theater season. By default, this Groupon gets you one opening night ticket to each of the four shows being performed this season. However, tickets are transferrable to any other show with two business days' advance notice, and your Groupon season pass voucher may be exchanged for four tickets to a single show, should you decree it.

The 2010-11 season, titled Imprisonment, explores the theme of incarceration with four plays sure to spur critical thinking and thrill claustrophobic theater fans:

12 Angry Jurors, opening October 15, 2010 The season kicks off with a classic written by Reginald Rose and adapted by Sherman L. Sergel, in which a jury debates the fate of an accused murderer following a seemingly open-and-shut case.

Labyrinth, opening November 12, 2010 Fernando Arrabal's tale of a prisoner trapped in a surreal maze of blankets.

The Hothouse, opening February 18, 2011 Set in an ambiguous institution with nameless patients, Harold Pinter's tragicomedy is an indictment of boundless institutional bureaucracy and its hampering effects on individuals.

The House of Bernarda Alba, opening April 8, 2011 Federico Garcia Lorca's play demonstrates how repressing freedom injures the oppressor and victim alike through the story of a domineering matron and her five adult daughters.

Each opening night performance takes place at 7:30 p.m. at the University of Toledo's Center for the Performing Arts. Check the schedule for other performances and to plot out a ticket-switch, or buy enough Groupons to take the whole gang to theater after hitting up the milk-plus bar. Seating is first-come, first-serve. Reserve seats by phone to guarantee entry.
